Will not race

Halvard Mabire has become a legend in Québec. This is mostly due to his two Transat Québec Saint-Malo wins in 2008 and 2012, but also to the longevity of his oceanic carrer and his bravery at sea. Halvard Mabire competed in his first solo transatlantic race at the age of 20. He has over 30 years and 300,000 miles of offshore racing experience. Still, Halvard shows no sign of fatigue and  meets every challenge with enthusiasm. He won both the Twostar and the Round Europe Race. He has also participated seven times in the Solitaire du Figaro, including leg wins, and 2nd and 3rd place overall. He has also held Atlantic and Mediterranean World Speed Records.

« The beauty of the Saint-Lawrence River as well as it’s challenges, the Rocher Percé, Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, the North Atlantic Ocean, which can get quite cold, offer magnificent landscapes. I can’t wait for July to meet up again with my Québec friends! »
