Whether in the Mediterranean—where he hails from—or out on the Atlantic, the tireless Thierry Bouchard knows the ins and outs of racing. A businessman, Thierry manages his career and his life as a sailor with an equally firm hand. With tremendous drive and focus, Thierry has all the qualities needed to emulate his second-place finish at the 2008 Transat Québec Saint-Malo.
Formerly known as Crêpes Whaou II, this Multi50 boat was built in 2005 by CDK Technologies. After changing its name to Maître Jacques in 2010, it was purchased by Thierry Bouchard after the last Route du Rhum and renamed Ciela Village. It is one of the best Multi50 right now with many first-place finishes. It won the Route du Rhum in 2006, the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2007 and 2009 and the Transat Québec St-Malo in 2008.
